Brighton Police during National Coal Strike 1926

During the National Coal Strike of 1926, many forces were required to send detachments of officers to mining areas. 52 officers from Brighton were sent to Wales where they worked in the Pontipridd Police Division. Also in this photograph is the Chief Constable of Glamorgan, Managers of local collieries and officers from the Dorset and Glamorgan Forces.

My Grandfather, Harold Harmes was presented with a Miners lamp in Wales during the 1926 National Strike. Is it likely that he is in this photograph. I still have the miners lamp and would be happy for it to go to the museum if this is of any interest.
