Captain R B Drummond MVO was Chief Constable, between September 1879 and July 1912 - from 11th April 1889 in the Barttelott Road Horsham Police Station which was the West Sussex Headquarters. His service was commemorated by a Metropolitan Drinking Fountain and Cattle Trough Association trough which is still in place diagonally opposite the Capitol Theatre.
