Old Police Cells Museum

The Old Police Cells open for the summer season on Saturday March 28 at 10.30am.

Brighton Police cadets and band will be on hand together with a police dog and handler.

Andy Lawrence will be present with his original panda car from his collection of police vehicles and we hope that the Punch and Judy show from Fishing Museum will be able to join us.

Do come along and see the museum. It will be great fun for all the family

Check out the new wedding venue

HAPPY couples can swap cufflinks for handcuffs at one of Brighton’s newest wedding venues.

Instead of the pealing of church bells, brides and grooms can hear the clinking of jail cells after The Old Police Cells Museum was granted a wedding licence.

Museum staff could dress up in old uniforms if the couple wanted or the couple could be handcuffed through the ceremony. However, exchanging the rings could prove difficult.”

It is one of three new venues at Brighton Town Hall where couples can tie the knot, along with the mayor’s parlour and council chamber.
