The Chairman of Trustees of the Old Police Cells Museum Graham Bartlett -accompanied by Mrs Pat Drake ( Trustee) and Patric Welch  ( Clerk to the Trustees) -was delighted to receive  a cheque from Mr Peter James the best selling Author and Vice- President of the Old Police Cells Museum Society in the sum of £1,588.69 which had been collected for the Old Police Cells Museum Society Charity at the recent performances of Mr Peter James play Dead Simple at the Theatre Royal Brighton.

This is a very substantial donation for the Museum and will enable the Museum to continue to preserve the heritage of policing in Brighton and Sussex.

The Museum relies entirely on donations from visitors and supporters, and in receiving the cheque from Mr James, the Chairman of Trustees said that the generous donation would greatly  assist in helping the Musuem to preserve its artifacts and work towards the aim of acheiving full Museum
